Global Talent Visa

The Global talent visa allows leaders and potential leaders, in specific fields such as Academia and Digital technology, to live in the UK for up to 5 years.

Eligibility

If you are over the age of 18, and a leader, or potential leader, in one of the following fields you may be eligible for a Global Talent visa to work in the UK:

You may be eligible for a Global Talent visa to work in the UK. This visa allows you to live in the UK for up to 5 years, after which time you can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK.

Before you apply for the Global Talent visa, you will need to have successfully applied for an endorsement to prove that you are a leader or potential leader in these fields.

You may also be automatically eligible for the Global Talent visa without an endorsement if you have won an eligible prize.
Your endorsing body depends on your skills. The endorsing bodies are Tech Nation (digital technology), RIBA (architecture), Arts Council England (arts), British Fashion Council (fashion).

If you wish to work as a research or academic leader in science, medicine, engineering or the humanities you may be eligible if you have an eligible job offer, an individual fellowship, a research grant that is approved by UKRI or an eligible award. You may also apply to have your application peer reviewed.

Under the Global Talent visa you may be an employee, self employed and a director of the company. There are no language or minimum salary eligibility requirements. You may bring your dependents with you to the UK.
